Jackob Summaries — a long recording, readable in a minute
One click turns any transcript into a downloadable AI summary.
After a transcription completes, click Generate Jackob Summary on the transcript page. A minute later you have an overview, the key points, the action items and chapters with timestamps — written in the language of the recording.
Summaries are stored with the transcript, can be copied or downloaded, and are the best answer to "what is this recording about?" — they read the whole file, where Jackob Chat reads the passages relevant to your question.
What a summary contains

- Two or three sentences on what the recording is and what happened.

- Action items
- Who has to do what, when it was mentioned.
- Chapters
- The recording split into parts with a title and a timestamp each.

Your data
- When you click Generate, the transcript text of that recording is sent to OpenAI, which processes it for us. Never your audio or video, your name or your e-mail address, and never automatically.
- Your data is not used to train OpenAI’s models. OpenAI keeps the text for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deletes it.
- The summary is stored with your transcript and covered by the same deletion and export rights.
- Summaries are AI-generated and may contain errors — verify important details against the transcript.
